DC/OS and Apache Mesos for Data Pipelines

April 4, 2017 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm EDT

Join us at Mesosphere HQ in San Francisco on Tuesday, April 4, to learn about DC/OS and Apache Mesos for Data Pipelines.

6:00-6:30 Registration, networking & dinner
6:30-7:30 Tech talks and Q&A
7:30-8:00 Networking

Part 1: Introduction to DC/OS and Apache Mesos

DC/OS is an open-source platform for running containers and big data services, in the cloud or on-prem. It makes it easy to deploy and run apps such as Docker, Cassandra, and Spark. Built around the Apache Mesos cluster manager, DC/OS adds components for container orchestration, service discovery, and load balancing.

Part 2: Big Data on DC/OS

DC/OS simplifies production and ops for Big Data. Part 2 includes a demo showing how to deploy a full data pipeline, on a 6-node AWS cluster running DC/OS. The data pipeline will ingest event data generated by a containerized web app, store the data in Cassandra and Kafka, and analyze it with Spark and Zeppelin.
