WiBD Online Event: Communication and Career Growth Skills 2020 | Session 3

June 9 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm PDT

Using LinkedIn For Networking and Visibility

TOPIC OVERVIEW

Career growth is now, more than ever, about networking, and of course WiBD became a strong force for assisting high-tech women through the networking of the founders. In a sense, we are always networking among our friends and neighbors, keeping in touch (at a distance now!). In business, the more “advocates” we have, the more stable and growing our work possibilities become. Sometimes more introverted people shy away from business networking, as it seems uncomfortable. But we can come to a different perspective and view the process as natural and enjoyable. LinkedIn offers a powerful platform for all of us.

In this session we’ll look at key elements of a persuasive LinkedIn profile, see good examples of titles and headers, hear language that gets attention, and learn some tips on moving up in a recruiter’s search results when seeking someone just like you. Join us on screen for the next in our series on your career development and communication!
