Jessica McCarthy, Intel
Jessica is a staff research scientist with Intel Labs. Her main focus is on the research and development of future Internet of things technologies. Jessica research interests include Distributed systems, Internet of Things, information centric networking, embedded systems, big data technologies, sensing, cloud computing, infrastructure management, enterprise architecture amongst others. Jessica is responsible for a number of research collaborations both internally within Intel and with external academic and industrial partners across Europe. Jessica graduated with a B.Sc. in Computer Science and Mathematics from the National University of Ireland Maynooth 1999, she was awarded an honours M.Sc. in Computing (IT) from the Dublin Institute of Technology 2008 and is currently pursuing her PhD with Trinity College Dublin.
Marina B. Alekseeva, Intel
Marina B. Alekseeva is vice president in the Software and Services Group and serves as general manager of the Intel Russia Software and Services Group and director of software product services at Intel Corporation. Based in Nizhny Novgorod, she manages Intel R&D operations in Russia and is responsible for aligning them with Intel business strategy. Alekseeva also leads a multifunctional team charged with providing solutions and infrastructure for efficient software production and product delivery. A specialist in software development and production, Alekseeva joined Intel in 2000 with the acquisition of NSTLab. She built Intel’s software product services team in Russia from scratch and successfully led its integration into Intel’s global production and communication process. Subsequently, she also led the integration of Intel’s newly acquired site in Sarov, Russia. Alekseeva’s previous roles at Intel also include managing the companys startup and enterprise applications department, a team based in the United States and Russia. In that position, she oversaw capabilities and processes for the procurement, installation, licensing and support of software products. Her career achievements include earning an Intel Software Quality Award in 2003 and an Intel Quality Award in 2013. Before joining Intel, Alekseeva was a software engineering manager at NSTLab, where she led a team of software developers and testers providing algorithms and optimized code for image recognition. Earlier in her career, she spent nearly 10 years as a software developer at the Russian Federal Nuclear Center. Alekseeva holds a masters degree in mathematics from Lomonosov Moscow State University in Russia. She serves on the Intel Leaders Strategic Female Talent Advisory Board for the Europe,
Middle East and Africa region.
