2018 Women in Data Science Conference
March 5, 2018
Registration is now open for the next Women in Data Science (WiDS) Conference happening March 5, 2018, at Stanford University.
Karen Ebert Matthys, Excecutive Director, External Partners, reports:
“We have an amazing line-up of speakers who will talk about their research and applications in a wide range of domains, from cybersecurity to astrophysics to computational finance, and more.
New for 2018 is the first-ever WiDS Datathon, a joint effort between Stanford, Kaggle/Google, Intuit, and the Gates Foundation. More details about the datathon challenge will be available in early January 2018.
We’re continuing to expand Global WiDS, as well, and expect to have 100+ regional events worldwide, in 50+ countries. Many of the WiDS locations are visible on our registration page, and more will be added every week.
We encourage everyone to register soon, as we expect to sell out quickly. Our early bird discount ends on November 30, 2017. ”
Among the featured speakers is Ziya Ma, Vice President of Software and Services Group and Director of Big Data Technologies at Intel Corporation, and a founding member of the Women in Big Data Forum.
