The Women in BigData Northwest (WiBD NW) chapter is introducing an engaging new initiative titled “Executive Chat and Learn”.  Throughout this series, WiBD NW chapter will have the privilege of hosting distinguished executive leaders representing diverse companies, who graciously share their their wealth of experiences and invaluable insights. The series commenced with great enthusiasm and energy on May 24, 2023, featuring Janet George, the Corporate Vice President, Datacenter and AI Group at Intel Corporation. The event was hosted by Pradnya Patil, Director Data and Technology Integration at Intel Corporation and the Co-Director of the WiBD NW chapter.

            From her humble beginnings to her current status as a top executive, Janet’s story is a testament to the power of hard work, motivation, and determination, the journey is no less than of a trailblazer, she shared with the audience how her journey began, highlighting the significance of perseverance and staying motivated during tough times. Her relentless pursuit of success led her to hold prestigious positions at renowned companies, including Group Vice President at Oracle, Chief Data and AI Officer at Yahoo, Vice President at eBay, and Lead Engineer Architect at Apple.

In the interactive conversation, Janet emphasized the importance of maintaining a healthy work life balance and how achieving success is not just excelling in the professional arena but also about cherishing life’s precious moments. She believes that passion for one’s work is vital, as it fuels the drive to excel and make a difference. Her dedication in bringing AI and ML to the forefront of daily life and demonstrating their transformative potential showcases her genuine enthusiasm for technology, her contribution to the world of technology have been groundbreaking.

Hosting someone of her stature, who had been listed among CRN’s top 100 Executives of 2022 and recognized as one of the top 25 innovators, setting pace for the IT industry, was a rare and valuable experience. Janet’s journey serves as a beacon of hope for aspiring leaders, showcasing that with dedication and passion everything is achievable.
