General Description:

Women in Big Data’s Pacific Phoenixes Career Restart Program is designed to empower women for career comebacks in the technology industry. We understand the unique challenges women face when returning to work after a career break or when transitioning into tech. We are committed to providing the support, resources, and opportunities needed to relaunch successful careers in the exciting world of data.

Key Features:

• Tailored Curriculum: Participants will benefit from a customized curriculum that focuses on essential skills for data-related careers, leveraging the DataCamp platform. This will help refresh knowledge and gain new skills in programming languages, data analysis techniques, and other industry-relevant expertise for a career in data.
• Mentorship: Participants in our program will have access to experienced mentors who will provide guidance, advice, and support throughout their journey. Our mentors are industry professionals who understand the challenges of career re-entry and are dedicated to helping you succeed.
• Networking Opportunities: Networking is essential for career growth and advancement. Through our program, you will have the opportunity to connect with industry professionals, recruiters, and fellow participants through networking events, workshops, and online communities.
• Job Readiness Guidance: Our ultimate goal is to help you secure meaningful employment in the tech industry. We will provide resources for resume review, LinkedIn profile update and interview preparation.

Program Offering:

Currently, this program is offered to California, Oregon and Washington state residents only. Applications must be submitted by March 4th, 2026 for our March 13th to May 22nd, 2026 session (10-week). We will notify you of the selection results by March 12, 2026. 

This year, we’re going bigger on AI. Pacific Phoenixes empowers job seekers and career pivoters through hands-on learning, mentorship, and community support. Last year’s cohort of 25 participants logged over 960 hours of learning and 800,000+ DataCamp XP points, and we’re ready to do it again. This time, participants will get full access to DataCamp with AI-focused tracks covering data analysis, data science, SQL, Python, and more.

Language and Time Zone:

This program will be conducted in English, and participants should be available to meet during Pacific Standard Time (PST).

Program Eligibility:

This program is appropriate for women looking to restart their career within computational or data technology fields and have at least 3 years of prior experience in tech/data fields. Familiarity with Python, SQL and general programming experience is a plus.
