Technology Solopreneur – United States Peer Group Mentoring
General Description: This mentoring program is especially designed for anyone who is planning to start or recently created an independent technology service-based business (e.g. code developer, data analysis, web developer, technology marketer, technology career coach, technology project manager, technology writer).
Referred to as solopreneurs, this program will help new owners organize, manage and assume the risk of a private freelancing, consulting, or coaching business. We will explore the advantages and disadvantages of working on your own and cover topics such as: identifying your product offering and customers base, registering your business, promotion, anticipating risks, handling obstacles. This program will not cover areas such as venture capital funding, hiring employees, or creating products.
This program uses the facilitated peer mentoring format, where participants learn from each other under the direction of two experienced facilitators. Guest speakers will attend numerous sessions providing insight on best business practices. Participants of the program will also have a chance to highlight any questions / concerns and receive feedback from the cohort.

Program Details: This is a 12-week bi-weekly virtual program. Applications will be accepted starting early August until August 25. The first session is September 12, 2023 at 12:00pm ET. Each session is one-hour in duration. The program is conducted in English.
Participant Eligibility: Open only to United States residents who have or plan to start a single owner business. There is a limit of 12 qualified participants.
Mentor Eligibility: Led by two experienced facilitators, Deborah Sgro and Deborah Lindsay. Mentor applications are not accepted for this program.
