Women in Big Data’s Summer Mentoring Program is a 12-week mentoring program that pairs mentors and mentees based on application profiles.  Once matched, the mentor and mentee meet at a mutually agreed upon cadence focusing on topics that assist the mentee to start or advance their career.

Program Details:  This program starts June 1, 2023 and concludes August 25, 2023.

It is conducted in English, and is open to everyone from all regions.   Participants are expected to complete 4 mentoring hours to earn a certificate of participation.  Mentees can choose to focus on topics such as: 

• Starting a New Career in Data Science or Computing Technology
• Job Searching Skills
• Career Advancement Strategy
• Technical Skills (Data Science/Analytics, Software Engineering, Technical Project Management)
• Interpersonal Skills (Communication, Collaboration, Leadership, Self-Advocacy)
• Business Skills (Business Analysis, Business Strategic Planning, Product Management)

Mentee Eligibility:  Participation as a mentee is open to those at any experience level with a strong motivation to grow professional.

Mentor Eligibility: Participation as a mentor is open to anyone with 5 or more years professional expertise in a technology field, and who also possesses professional development experience, leadership, interpersonal and/or business related skills.
