On July 22nd, we came together at the SAP Labs Munich Campus to learn about the Autonomous Enterprise. As our moderators highlighted, the excitement around the event was incredible. It sold out within just four hours. To put that level of enthusiasm into perspective, it felt a little like the rush for Taylor Swift tickets.

The power of community

Nahia Orduña and Teuta S. opened the evening by highlighting the power of communities and sharing how they bring it to life through collaboration, joint learning, and supporting one another within and across organizations.
Their message set the tone for the evening. Transformation does not happen through technology alone. It also happens through people who share their experiences, create opportunities, and help one another grow.

The question is not whether AI can do it, but whether we can trust it to do it

Selina Hochstrat shared key themes from her daily work and gave the audience practical insights into SAP Joule 💎 and Joule Studio, demonstrating how AI is being integrated into the SAP and client’s environments. Trust, data, knowledge and processes continue to be central themes in transformation and innovation journeys of her clients.
As AI becomes more deeply embedded in enterprise workflows, this distinction matters. Capability alone is not enough. We also need the right data, reliable processes, transparency, and the confidence to apply AI responsibly.

From the Autonomous Enterprise to the Autonomous Employee

Michelle Mei-Li Pfister then shifted the focus from the Autonomous Enterprise to the Autonomous Employee and invited the audience to D.A.R.E.
Her framework captured the changing role of employees in an AI enabled workplace:
✅ Direct the work
✅ Accelerate learning
✅ Reinvest time in personal growth
✅ Early Mover
D.A.R.E. is not only a memorable acronym, it is an invitation to act. Despite all the technological possibilities, the message remained clear: keep human judgment. Michelle left the audience with concrete ideas and tips to try on their own AI journeys.

Our moderators, Tamara Schmoll and Jacqueline Lyra , kept the audience engaged both mentally and physically with an interactive quiz in a real-life setting.
The conversation then moved to the rooftop, where the community continued exchanging tips, experiences, and perspectives.

A heartfelt thank you to our sponsors and partners and to everyone who contributed to making this wonderful event possible. And, of course, thank you to every participant who brought curiosity, openness, and energy into the room.

The future of work will not be shaped by AI alone. It will be shaped by the trust we build, the questions we ask, the human judgment we preserve, and the communities that help us move forward together.
