Our Women in Big Data Poland x Netflix Poland Powerful Connections meetup on September 10, 2026  in Warsaw exceeded expectations in all ways.

It was an inspiration catalyst and space for growth for all data and AI enthusiasts. Ambience level platinum! Isabella and the Netflix team you did great as hosts!

Netflix Data Engineers gave us a fascinating behind-the-scenes look at how they leverage data to better understand users—from A/B testing and survey analysis to recommendation systems powered by the Consumer Digital Twin framework. We especially loved exploring the potential of Digital Personas for unlimited A/B testing and the critical role Data Governance plays as AI accelerates innovation. The discussion also reinforced that curiosity, a growth mindset, and strong communication skills are no longer just nice-to-haves in engineering—they are key differentiators. A big thank you to Gianluca Ortolani Piotr Damrych Kinga Wierchomska Kateryna Herashchenko Alona Khaniukova for sharing their valuable insights.

Lavinia Neagoe thanks for an open discussion on moving geographies with a family as well as how important experimentation and permission to fail is in our engineering professions.

And to my dream WIBD PL team! You are Rock Stars ✨ Agata Koćwin Monika Lipska (she/her) Patrycja Urbańska-Walas Aleksandra Teper-Konior Katarzyna Czesak-Woytala
